I made a painting in soft pastels of the top of the church tower
And of vaults inside of other church in ink and watery acrylics
When I realized I was looking mostly up, I started looking down and took photos of what appealed to me while I was looking down.
The swirling water inrested me, and I tried to figure out how this effect.
One of the ways in which I tried to achieve this was by altering a photo
This reminded me somehow of marbling.
I had seen marbling demonstrated in Rome last year, but never tried it out yet.
I set about getting a tray, wall-paper paste and a pipette to drop in diluted acrylic paint as well as a toothpick to drag the paint through the paste.
